Making Education Matter

After struggling with my education, I knew that I had to give my kids more. I began working with them to talk about a variety of different problems, and they mentioned that they could use some help in school. We chatted about everything they had access to, and I mentioned that they might be able to do better if they cut out some of the distractions that they had been dealing with. We began to change things slowly in our home, and within a few days, things had really started to improve. On this website, I wanted to share tips that helped me and my kids, because I know they can help you with yours.

Time For Observations? Why You Should Invest In Classroom Walkthrough Software

If you're still conducting classroom observations and walk-throughs the old-fashioned way — physically visiting each class — it's time to invest in observation software. Observation software allows you to conduct effective classroom walk-throughs and teacher observations without interrupting lessons or over-burdening your schedule. Here are just four of the benefits you'll receive from investing in classroom observation software.

Saves Time and Money

When you're responsible for teacher/student growth, you know that classroom observations are a crucial component. Unfortunately, when you have a large number of teachers to observe, you have to consider the expenditure of time and money to complete the process. That's where classroom observation software comes into the picture. One of the benefits of utilizing computer software for your observations is that you can conduct multiple walk-throughs at the same time.

Reduces Classroom Disruption

When it comes to running an efficient classroom, the fewer the disruptions, the better. Students can get off-track very quickly, especially during a classroom walk-through or observation. Unfortunately, those disruptions can cause stress for the students and the teachers. Classroom observation software allows you to conduct those necessary observations without disrupting the classroom environment. In fact, in most cases, the students won't even know that an observation is underway.

Provides Opportunities for Frequent Walk-Throughs

If you're only able to schedule one or two observations each year, you may not be getting the best picture of your classrooms. This is particularly true where abnormally unruly classrooms are concerned. With just one or two observations, you may miss out on the days when lessons go according to plan, students are actively engaged in learning, and the teachers are excelling at their jobs. Classroom observation software allows you to conduct frequent walk-throughs, which can help you identify success as well as identify issues that need to be resolved.

Allows Teachers to View Their Own Classroom Methods

When you conduct a classroom walk-through or observation, you're able to see how your teachers interact with their students. From that observation, you provide a detailed report to your teachers. However, your teachers aren't able to view their own interaction, which prevents them from seeing the bigger picture. One of the benefits of classroom observation software is that it provides your teachers with the opportunity to view their own classroom methods. Once the walk-through is completed, you can allow your teachers to sit down and view the video that was generated of their particular observation. From that, your teachers can utilize the information to improve their skills and enhance classroom engagement.
